Private info during staff applications?

Private info during staff applications? Is this something that you require from volunteers or staff members when submitting interest to work on your website? If so, what sort of details are required? Real name, real age, and so forth? Do you go as far as requiring identifications to prove who you are on application?

Due to me hiring people to work on the forums, I own being a volunteer option, I don't ask for any personal details and don't believe in doing so.

I feel that those on the internet who wish to keep their personal information safe and secure should not be pushed to give it out to someone they do not fully know.

I think for me just a way to contact off the forum like an email, Discord, etc is enough IMO. No personal info like a name, address, etc is even needed anyway.

I have never hired strangers as a staff on my forums, however, I have worked on a lot of sites as a staff. I have never been asked personally identifying documents for staff position apart from real name and real location. However, I have used a lot of earning sites where I had to submit proof of identity and proof of address.
