Do you guys know of any open-source services for domains and web hosting services? I know it's an odd request, but I've been on an open-source kick as of late, and if I can make everything I use open-source, I would like to make that a possibility. It just feels a bit more freeing.

I doesn't think that CMS and ready scripts like Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, Prestashop, Xenforo are open source codes because the team hardly devellop them. For Open Source hosting I recommand opensourcehost com.
Awesome, thank you a ton for sharing. I've been very interested in trying out opensource services, because they often have more freedom with the software than anything else. Thanks again for responding. :)

It is good to use open source but it also comes with problems as it is easily can be hacked or breach your security and if you are not experts than you might lost your data and somebody can easily manage your site.

What does the op mean by open source alternatives for domains and web hosting services? Does he mean free services for domain and hosting (free domains and free hosting?). I think there are a lot of free domains and free hosting.

Internet is simply great! YOu can not only get a free content management syste to build your website but also a free domain and free hosting. Try dot tk domains from freenom and free hosting from 000webhost.

I have been reading a lot on freenom domains and 000webhost. However, I am yet to try the free domains and free hosting. I hear pro and cons for free domain and hosting

As for me I have no idea about open source alternative for domain. I am very new to domain, I will have to do some research about this topic

I don't know why you love open source stuff on the internet so much as open source can be so security compromising as you can get hacked using any application or tools that are open source.

Well I think quite a few people have made some very good suggestions in the comments. I think internet server.net offers something of such, not sure. But you might wanna check it out.
