An open house showing is ideal if you want to help sell your property or house. Open houses are done so that potential customers will check the house over. But, do you let customers have full reign of the house? As in they can look at every nook and cranny of the house. is this fine?

It is beneficial for the buyers as they can see the house with the furniture etc instead of blank walls and empty spaces. The house owners who are planning to sell have to spend a lot of their personal time too and dedicate a particular time for open house.

When we sold our last house, we had a realtor who walked through with the potential buyers as they looked around. I felt safe having her with them to keep an eye on things. But what we did was to take our important paperwork with us in our car when we left. Plus, we hid all bank statements, taxes, etc.
