Is it possible to have a one letter domain? Like A.com or something random like that? I think it'd be interesting to have a website with just one latter. Would make going to that site a lot faster I imagine.

Is that possible? What's the lowest amount of letters/characters you can have in a domain?

It is very possible but highly scarce. One letter domains are the highest paid domain in the domain market. In fact, owning such a domain is a big business.

Having that will put you at the top of the search engine because anytime that letter is typed there will be an automatic pop up of your website on the search engine

For many years, Z.com was owned by Japanese automotive giant Nissan, who used the name since the early 2000’s to promote their Z series sports cars. That was until 2014 when the first ever one-letter .COM domain sale was publicly recorded. GMO Internet, one of Japan’s largest ISP operators, bought the domain name for 800 million Japanese Yen, which equated to $6,784,000 at the time of the sale.

It's possible, but you would be ready to spend so much to get such domain name as it's a hot cake these days. You better consider other options.

One letter domain will be a hilarious feat to achieve. They must be very scarce for someone to come across them, but they exist. And I think they can make for a very good business for those in the selling of domains niche

I think it is possible but I haven't seen such a domain name before. But why will someone buy a one letter domain name. But talking about possiblity, it is very possible. I have seen three letters domain name but I haven't seen two or one letter domain name

You can have a single letter domain but these are usually reserved and marked as premium so the domain registrar will sell them at a hugely inflated price as they are obviously very rare and lucrative to have. I don't think I've ever been to a website that uses one. I don't even know which ones are used. The only one I do know of is x.com which is related to PayPal / Elon Musk if I'm not mistaken. But I don't think it goes anywhere.

There is no one word domain name available, how will there be a one letter name? If you can pull it off believe you will be thinking of millions of dollars as the price.

This must be a very unique domain name. actually there is no number or combination of letters and figures that is not allowed for registration as domain name only that it must not contains some special characters and the name must not be in use.

Yeah it is possible to have a letter word name for domain. thou it is believe those various domains are or were developed by people depending on their choice of name to be use. so it is quite possible for that to exist definitely.

It's a bit complicated, in Theory, they are possible to get, but you won't come across one that's available, because in most of the times, all of them are taken already by other people

It is possible but it will definitely be scarce and expensive. A lot of people that came to the internet when it was just starting would have seized the opportunity to register such domains.

Though I have come across that type of domain but it is scarce because it is rare. Its scarcity will make it expensive. Because everybody will like to have such a domain.

I have never looked for one letter domain but I think you can get one letter domain of you go with the newly established extensions. It is impossible to get one letter domain with popular extensions.

Why is it so scares or so difficult to see people with a one domain name website? I don't think they are as popular in the internet anyways. Because it they were, one should be seeing them around

You don't see one letter domains because in most case you cannot find a one letter domains. One letter domains are already registered by the domain registrars or individual and they are parking these domains.

For now one letter domain is not possible because all the one letter words have been taken over by all the means and you cannot find anyone now except you were to be lucky enough to buy an expired one word domain.

One letter domains are hard to come by. There are not many of them available. Many extension operators won't even allow it. The ones that do will charge you great deal of money for registration and renewal.

That is true they don't really exist nowadays because the cost involved in getting it might actually be out of range of what one can pay for
