New User Onboarding Program

How do you feel about a new user onboarding program?

Typically, most of us send welcome emails and welcome PMs.

The message may have simple tasks for the new user to perform like reading the rules and create an introduction topic.

What is your onboarding process? What tasks do you have them completed?

What makes a great new user onboarding process?

I'm not sure really, I don't think I'd take anything from that personally. If I've joined a forum, I just want to get posting. I guess some people might though? Could be little reward.

For me, I will play to my strength. Maybe an ebook, some graphics that are useful, and some tips to keep the lights on.
