Do you have music on your website? If so, do you automatically launch it when someone visits your website?

I personally will probably never add music to one of my websites, mainly because I hate having it automatically loaded when I load a page, and most of the time there's no way to turn it off. I usually have my pandora up too, so it just interferes with that and makes me want to leave even quicker. :3

Autoplaying music is simply one of the worst turn offs for me when I visit a website. I believe most of the people think the same way.
So I will never add music to my websites, I will never add that play button even unless its a lyrics archive website I am having.

No sounds, no videos, and no video ads. Although, users can embed videos into a post. Autoplay prohibited. Goddammit I hate websites with sound, bar YouTube (and porn sites).

This.
I can't add any more to this to be honest.

If you have to add music to your website, you're gonna have a bad time. There is no logical reason in my mind that would mean you NEED to have music playing on your site. If you must add it, at least do not make it play automatically.

They make us add music in my IT course.. we had to make a website in Forntpage for our first task and they're like "add 20 animations and loads of music to each page and you'll pass" and then our work turns out the same as that bad website thing you showed me and they're like " Nice job! A+ <3"

My point exactly.
IT courses in the UK need to sort themselves out.. they basically teach us how to make a PowerPoint and use Word.. I can't wait until I move to America for uni.

Very true, I hated my GCSE IT course. I took it because I wanted to learn how to fix computers, not write essays on what I already know in Word. At least at College I got what I wanted. :p

Plus the IT teachers know less about Computers than I do, It's like.. "WHY U KNOW NOTHING!"

LOL, at my secondary school that was certainly true. My college teachers were like nerds so I was like, "Teach me, teach me now"

If I was an IT teacher I can just imagine how epic it would be.. "for todays lesson we will open up a webmaster forum to try and earn incomes of 10k a week." Then I get them all to found a company with me and we become rich. (This is my way of exploiting teenagers in a strictly non-sexual way)
