I migrated my website from shared hosting to VPS.
The reason was that I have a lot of traffic and when I used shared hosting the website was slow and I had sometimes downtimes.
Now the website is working fast and it can serve many visitors concurrently :D

I have shared hosting and my hosting company allows me to host upto three websites with this package. I am already hosting three websites. Since my websites are small, do not receive too much traffic, I have never encountered any problems. By the way can you shed light on VPS, I want to know about bandwith and diskspace offered in VPS.

  1. 4 tell-tale signs you're ready to consider a VPS migration:
  2. Step 1a (Optional): Transfer Your Domain to a Domain Registrar.
  3. Step 1b: Export Your Site Database and Download Site Files.
  4. Step 2: Upload Your Files and Import Your Database to Your New VPS.
  5. Step 3: Point Your IP Address to Your New Server.

The bandwidth is unlimited and the disk space is 120 GB.

Well as I Kno some people migrate their website from shared hosting to vps and that is good it is just more like upgrading and it is the best because it is faster and reliable but there is just one thing I don't like about it,there are steps to do that.well what I noticed is that there are lot of traffic in shared hosting but anyway you do it it is still the same thing and the bandwidth comes with space and it is not like vps which is unlimited.

Shared hosting has limitations compering to VPS. For example, in HostGator shared hosting you can run only 25 processes concurrently, which may cause downtime if you have a lot of traffic.

VPS hosting forms the ideal combination of the affordability of shared hosting with the added functionality of a dedicated server. There are also several other benefits of migrating your shared hosting to VPS.

Moving and upgrading is always preferred when your website grows big, beings to receive a lot of traffic, and starts earning more. However, for a small website shared hosting is always the best choice.

I am still with shared hosting since 5 years. I have never felt the necessity to upgrade my hosting. When I bought the hosting service for the first time, The package allowed me to host 3 websites and the current package is unlimited website.

Congratulations on moving your website from shared hosting to VPN and I can show you that since you make this move you will start receiving good loading and refreshing times on your website.
