Motion Graphics on your site

Advertisement Placeholder
Yes, using motion graphics on a website can increase the file size, which may negatively impact the site's load speed. Slow load speeds can lead to a poor user experience, increased bounce rates, and lower search engine rankings.

I used to, but I try to steer clear of graphics and gimmicks that slow a site down. Motion graphics can slow a site down, especially for those site users using old web browsers and devices to access your site. You also have to consider your mobile users too, as sometimes motion graphics aren't the greatest on mobile devices.

So I strive to make my sites as fast as possible, because lets face it, no one likes long loading times or to have to wait ages for a page to load. That's what pushes people away from sites if anything.

I do not use any motion graphics on my website. My websites are mostly content sites, people come to my website to read and interact with the content, therefore, I focus on building great content and try to avoid embellishments on the site. I do not like flashy and blinking graphics on my websites.

Do you mean like GIFs? I seldom use them because I think they look tacky. I prefer to use still images. If it is for a forum or something, that is fine but that is usually what members post, not actual content or part of the forum itself.

It is only in the comment section that I really appreciate making use of GIFs because they are very good in expressing some kind of feelings towards a particular discussion someone is into.

I agree. In the comments of any site, it is fine and often adds some fun vibrancy to the site but on the site itself? It is very dated!

Yeah, I completely agree with you on that part. Being used in website itself is an eye saw and not professional in my opinion. It looks tacky which even throws users off course when they jump on the website for the first time.

You're correct that motion graphics can increase the file size of your website, which may potentially affect the load speed. Large file sizes can lead to longer loading times, especially for visitors with slower internet connections or limited bandwidth.

Personally, I find it very difficult to make use of any website that has a slow loading speed because I don't have to waste my whole time all day trying to do anything on a particular website that is going to make my life miserable completing simple task on the website.
