Mobile app development? Which one is best for mobile app development, both Android and iOS?

Ideally, you want to work on both to have a wider audience to reach. I know some still only do iOS or only Android and it doesn't make any sense to me. You want your apps to function on both operating systems ideally. There are a few others but these are the main two as of now.

If you want to distribute Android apps on the most popular Google Play Store there is a one-time fee of $25 and you can distribute unlimited apps. Whereas the Apple developer program costs $99 per year and you need to own a Mac to publish apps to the app store. If you can afford you can go for both.
