As a member, what mistakes have you seen forum owners make? What happened?

One of my biggest mistakes was closing OT, but I am so thankful I found a backup and was able to revive it. Glad to be back! We ain't going anywhere this time! Already been up for well over a year now!

One of my great mistakes while running forums was using xyz domain for a forum. No one took xyz domain seriously whereas the forum was on a serious issue (mental health).
