I have two domain names that I got for free (country domains are free in my home country), however, the lowest amount I have ever spent on a domain name was 99 cents. In 2016, I bought a lot of domains because namecheap was offering these domains for just 99 cents.

That's good, but it also depends how much time you keep it. Last Black Friday even namecheap's 96% discount was not offering that cheap.

Some companies offers domain name for free with buying a hosting with them then just you pay hosting plan with free domain name lifetime.
They don't give you a domain for free for a lifetime. When you buy hosting, they will give you a domain for free for the first year. You will have to spend money to renew the domain.

There is no domain available for a lifetime, all domains are on rent, even facebook.com is a rented domain.

I don't think renting is the appropriate word. When you register a domain, you own the domain until it is expired. If you continue to renew the domain before it gest expired you own that domain.

It depends from the hosting offer. If you are paying 1 $ hosting per month then domain name will be free for one year, but offers domain name free if you pay 10 $ hosting per month, there is multiple offer and for each offer either domain free for 1 year or 2 years or 3 years or lifetime with specific kind of hosting.

Well, I have never come across any hosting companies that offer free domains for 2 or 3 years, let alone free for a lifetime. If you know hosting companies that offer free domains for lifetime, please point me to that company.

Hosting companies themselves too rent it from Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). You cannot have a domain forever.

There is a difference between domain registrars and domain registries. By the way, have you heard of unstoppable domains? These domains can be owned for a lifetime once registered.

That is WEB3 domain, you cannot have a .com, .org type of domain with it, but there are .NFT .crypto etc type of domains

Have you used these crypto domains? I have not used any of these domains, however, I have used a lot of domains including generic, country, and niche domains.

I only used free domain, but some people known to me were able to 'mine' WEB3 domain, they are using it for their personal wallet.
