Looking for feedback on usability of website

Greetings all! I'm working on a website for a project I've dubbed "Worlds of Text." It's a website that allows users to create text-based worlds that others can navigate through (similar to the Choose Your Own Adventure book series). I'd love some feedback on how usable the site is/how intuitive the controls are. I realize the design is pretty minimal at the moment, and hope to improve that once all of the functionality is flushed out. Any other thoughts/comments are also appreciated.
