Living in a Shed

Don't take this thread the wrong way. I am speaking of those quality sheds you can buy in the USA and probably other countries. You can get many of them them for $1,000 to $5,000 dollars and you don't need credit to make payments.

Anyway, I think they would be wonderful to live in. I wouldn't be ashamed of it. Well, for the start, all you need is some plumbing, electricity, and insulation.

It takes more than just buying a shed. You need to still install insulation, flooring, carpeting, piping, windows (some do come pre-installed) etc. It might be cheap to buy these sheds, but it will cost more to make them worthy of living in. That could be another $5000 added on.

Still though, it could be cheaper than buying a new house or even some used houses.

I would definitely live in one if I had enough money. Forget apartments , or houses, get the shed and have your own peace.

I wouldn't mind living in a luxurious shed with all the proper components installed. I'd rather buy everything in one swoop than pay constant bills for housing.

I believe that you're definitely going to be needing some sort of permit before you can get a shed and make use of it as a home in USA right? What are the permits like? How much are they going to cost and for how long is it going to take before they will approve the permit?

Sheds? They are not a thing here but I have seen container homes being erected especially for police beat or construction workers.
