To put it simply, how do you choose the keywords you use? What tools or techniques do you use? I personally use that Google Analytics tool and it does the job well!

What do you use to get your keywords?

Google has probably the best tools for it. You can check related key words and how many searches they get monthly etc. I don't usually bother looking though....

You really don't see any tools to choose keywords to target. If you know your website it should be quite obvious the kind of things you offer and that's what you target. For example I run an Admin Forum so until I rank really well I heavily target "admin forum". Once I rank high in that I can move onto something else that describes what my forum is about.

I guess at my keywords too but I can see what Haze is getting at. If you can find keywords that have a good amount of searches with low competition, then you can rank higher easier. That will bring in more traffic than if you target a big keyword like admin forum, where there is a lot of competition, the same amount of effort may only rank you on page two....
