The premium version of jcink begins from $9 per month (that was the price when I checked last time). Spending $9 per month on hosted forum is not a good idea because for this money you can easily run a forum on Xenforo

Yeah, but sometimes it's tough to have $195 on you. You can't do payments with XenForo. The closest might be some loan from a credit card, PayPal Credit, or a bank.

You don't need a premium software to run a forum. You can try open source and all you need is pay for domain and hosting. You can still succeed with open source, right? The platform you use does not determine your success.
