Is there any particular topic you don't allow on your forum?

There are some forums which are based on specific niche. In such a community, all the discussions that goes on in the forum are centred on the niche. Take for instance a strictly cryptocurrency niche doesn't allow any other topics to be discussed.

In a situation where your forum isn't a single niche forum but there's a certain topic subject you don't allow to be discussed, what kind of topic would that be?

There are many topics that I may never allow on the forum. This may also include pornography, illegal weaponry, racist content, anti-religion hateful propaganda, and many other kind of topics that may offend and harm people. The forum community should stay healthy and avoid such kind of topics.

Depends on the forum. I've made adult oriented forums in the past where we allowed some adult subjects. But most of my forums are for most ages, so I usually have rules against adult content, porn, illegal content, racism, hate, etc. Also some of my forums I don't allow discussion of politics. Some of my forums have debate/politic areas too, but it's only for the serious forums.

I was in one forum where it's not allowed to post any things that's related or about LGBT. It seemed like such discussion caused a very big issue in the community at one point, so the owner had to ban it and lock other threads already created on it.

I don't allow off topics on my forum, on my investment and business forums, users need to post specifically about investment and business, if someone makes a post about entertainment or general chat, I will delete it outright. I also do not allow topics and posts that are not family-friendly.

This is how specific niche forums are managed. From most of the one's I have seen so far, you will not see any section where you can make off topic posts except for the introduction section. Any content that's posted on the site will definitely be on topic.

When it comes to owning a forum myself, the only topics I will not allow are those that are illegal, adult content-related or even weapon-related.

I would say that I allow politics and also debates but I would only allow them in a specific niche site or forum so that it was specifically for that and could be moderated well enough. As much as I have had debate sections and politics sections on forums before, sometimes they never go the way you hope and they are often better left alone.

Contrarily, I see a lot of off-topic sections even on niche forums. For instance, Bizdustry is a "Make Money Forum" but there is off topic section. Forum Promotion is a webmaster community, yet, there is also an offtopic section. However, I don't have off topic sections. SOme users will always look forward to abuse the system.

Yeah, that's very correct. It's all about the forum owner deciding to make provision for an off topic section it's going to encourage members to post on it. Although, I have seen some people who will still post off topic content where they are not supposed to be posted even when there's an off topic section.

Any kind of topic which is bathed with racism will never be allowed in my forum. I see racism the same way I see cancer and it should be rooted out, burnt and destroy. With how far the world have come so far, I can't believe we still have racist who can go to any mile to show themselves by their actions and words.

Most forums which I have used also doesn't allow for illegal, adult content related or even weapons related contents to be posted in their community except for only one forum which allowed for weapons related contents to be posted. It was a Gun's forum which was a niche based forum hence they allowed for such contents to be made.
