Is renting your domain to someone illegal?

Advertisement Placeholder
I don't even know how this renting domain actually works. Are there people willing to pay you money just for using the domain name? Wouldn't they be more interested in buying their own domain instead of renting?

Renting a domain to someone is not inherently illegal. Domain rental is a legitimate business practice where the owner of a domain allows someone else to use it for a specified period of time in exchange for payment.

Well, in a lot of cases, people don't have the cash to buy. In that case, a very valuable domain with heavy marketing power might be good for renting. Of course, renting, from the POV of the owner, could be useful when he/she cannot sell it easily.

I don't think so. I mean, I am not sure why you would want to do this. It poses security risks for both people involved and seems rather strange to do.
