Is it safe to keep an animal around a small child?

To me, this seems a little thoughtless on the part of the parents, because no matter how calm the animal is, no one knows how it will react to any movements of the child, and everyone knows that children are clumsy, they can accidentally hit the animal and it can bite. I have neither a child nor an animal, so I would be interested to know what people who have been in such situations think about it

No, it is not safe. Even though the animal might not directly harm your child, it is still possible that the animal might transfer diseases.

I don't trust the situation and especially with pit bulls, no matter how cool the fan culture thinks they are. Well, let's look at the facts. If I see just a few pit bull attacks on children, then forget it.
