Is it possible to make money playing poker online?

I have seen many people claim that playing poker can be a way to make money online and that it is not the same as other games of chance, but how true is this? Do you make money online playing poker or do you know someone who does this professionally? I want to hear your thoughts.

There is a poker site owned by a member of this forum. One can earn a pretty decent money if one is quite skilled.

There are some people that I know who are skilled at playing poker and have made good money out of it. I don't have that skill and I don't get to earn with it.

Well, I have sometimes made money through online gambling but never made money through online poker, in fact I do not even know how to play poker. I frequently hear that poker is not a game of luck like most casino games, it is more of a skills, so I am really interested in trying it, if not for money but for fun

I have a lot of poker friends with a long history of being winning players. It is possible for a losing player to become a winning player if they change their habits/leaks. As long as you can beat the average player, bankroll management will prevail. Trust in the process.
