Do you think that Facebook will start to become more popular for uploading videos? YouTube has made some really dumb changes in recent years and Facebook is starting to look more interesting now. Do you think Facebook can overtake YouTube as the place to watch content like it?

I disagree with thinking that facebook will start to become more popular for uploading video than YouTube, the YouTube basically for video, their length of the operation based on video but Facebook has many features which it will take them much time to overtake YouTube

Facebook is gaining wave in developing countries and Africa which today event and average person can access Facebook with low data I realized that our economy is having challenges of naira falling

Though it's a fact that Facebook is actually doing a great job in terms of video uploading, but they have a very long road ahead of them if they think they can compete with YouTube, let alone over take them.

I don't think so. We often use YouTube to upload videos but for Facebook we use it for many things, we can use it to chart and to do many. I don't think Facebook will over take youtube.

I think YouTube already has a very high catalogue of videos that it might take a very long time for Facebook content creators to be able to match. The YouTube monetization advantage is also another consideration.

One of the reasons I feel Facebook won't be able to overtake YouTube is because people get paid for more views on YouTube online fave book where there is no payment

I doubt Facebook is going to overtake YouTube in uploading videos because although Facebook is doing a nice job uploading videos, it's main function is for people to interact with one another so people will still turn to YouTube for videos.

I don't think Facebook will overtake YouTube except they want to change the app to solely for video uploading and watching. YouTube is will always the best place to watch content. Those Facebook is trying in that regards but it can't be compared to YouTube.

Although recently the videos uploaded on Facebook are becoming high and plentiful but that does not say it can sideline YouTube, YouTube is specifically designed for videos and it still maintain that til date

Hahahahahaha. Facebook will online try their best but will never dare to overtake YouTube and moreover, YouTube is ever more than a standard University combined.
YouTube will ever remain at the top no matter what.

I disagree that Facebook will become more popular for uploading video than YouTube. YouTube is mostly for video, and their period of operation is centered on video, while Facebook has numerous aspects that will take them a long time to overtake YouTube.

YouTube is still the most popular video sharing network because it has monetization options. Provided that Facebook is not going to start offering creators to create on the platform then it cannot beat it.

It would have been better if you stated the dumb changes made by YouTube that would make Facebook become more popular in terns of video traffic if I understand you very well. Personally, I don't think Facebook will pass YouTube in terms of video upload. There are some search term you use on Facebook and you can't find the video of it but can be found in YouTube.

I can't believe they will ever do as Youtube is different and they have strong userbase which is serious about share and view video, while Facebook is also decent but can't reach Youtube.

I know there are a lot of people on Facebook but there are farm more people on YouTube. Consider this, within the US only 2% of the population uses Twitter on a daily basis. I think it averages out to 10% on a weekly basis. For Facebook, it is probably around 10% daily, and 15% monthly. I can't see them being taken over, especially not while being owned by Google.
