We're already to a point where you can get just about anything digitally. From music, movies, tv, books, video games, and more. Everything these days can be purchased digitally to stream later. Is this how we'll consume content going forward? Streaming it through something rather than buying the physical item instead? I miss the days of buying movies and games, I still do, but it's starting to become less and less. What do you think?

I think that is what the future beholds for us but I am sure people will yearn for that physical factor when they get fed up of digital stuff.

It makes sense we're going to an all digital future. Physical games use up a lot of plastic and other materials. Aside from that, physical items degrade over time, especially video games. Most disc based games will become obsolete in 20-30 years as disc rot will take over and render most discs useless at some point. Digital will take over to a point where they will stop making physical games/movies and other media that can just be put out digitally.

It sucks, but there will still be physical collectors out there. And stores selling physical media.

It is difficult for me to predict whether everything will go digital in the future, as it depends on many factors. Although digital technology is rapidly evolving, some aspects of life may remain traditional. For example, human interactions, emotions and natural processes are difficult to fully reproduce digitally. I think the future will be a mix of digital and traditional, depending on what we need and how we want to live.
