Anymore it seems everything is going cloud hosting.
It's hard to find self-hosted software these days. Most are SaaS, Software as a Service, where the software is hosted on the service's cloud-based servers.
It could mean higher costs for some of us but lower costs for some of us too.
It definitely means less control.
How do you feel about it? Are you a rather they host it kind of admin or do you have to have that control?
If your favorite forum platform went to the cloud and no longer offered self-hosted software, would you change platforms because of it or would you convert?
