Is it a good idea to invest in your local government? I think it's a great thing to do, especially if you donate to special programs in your community. Maybe youth programs, work programs, and other programs that can be beneficial to your community and in turn make your business look better.

It's good to invest in your local government but what you need to know is that if you thoroughly examine your local authority and those that govern your local government if they operate well then I can invest there but if they dosnt I won't invest in my local government

Investing and donation are entirely two different concepts. When you invest, you get returns, when you donate you are doing philanthropy. Investing means profits, and donation means doing good to society. I donate to various programs and I also invest in government projects. I not only invest in bonds and treasury bills but also in various government projects like hydro energy, etc.

As far as it is anything that have to do with the government of my country, I don't have any business investing in any of it because they are not going to be truthful when it comes to making the investment work in a way that is going to be beneficial to the Investor. I don't trust the government of my country for any reason whatsoever.

I think that you could invest money in governmental projects for sure. However, in order to invest money, you must make sure that the government of your country is sincere. Unfortunately, this is not the case in here. So, I may not invest money at all. Investing in private projects is preferable.
