Investing in sports stars

Does anyone invest into sports stars? Like investing into the image of celebrities. Maybe like when you put ads on a sports star in MMA for example. Or maybe you can sponsor one of their videos or fights even. Do you think it's wise to invest in popular sports stars?

This is one of the lucrative business in my country. The top guys that have a lot of money are investing on rising stars that wants to travel abroad for greener pastures. As long as they spot the talent in you, they will want to spend money to see you go far too.

I think this is for a big business. Ronaldo charges $200,000 per Instagram promotion post, can we actually invest in this guy? Sponsoring sports starts can be really beneficial for the businesses that have money to do so.
