What were some of your initial fears when you started a business? If you're considering starting a new venture, what fears do you have concerning it?

My first fear was people not liking my work when I was a portrait artist. After that, it was the fear of not getting enough clients. Of course, the majority of people liked my work and I had a nice steady flow of customers, I just did not charge enough for my work.

My biggest fear was that no one was going to see my sites, or they weren't going to go anywhere. That's something I have always been afraid of with my sites. Especially if I create a site and it doesn't rank right away or I don't get enough visitors in the first few weeks.

I also fear losing money from my new ventures. But this is all normal, you're putting a lot on the line, so it makes sense to have some fears.

I had the fear of how I was going to combine my personal business with going to work and it was not easy trying to convince myself that it will be easy. I am happy that I didn't give and began at the time that I started this business too. I have learnt a lot about perseverance running this business.

I can understand that. When you have a job and when you plan to start your own business, things could be hard to manage. This is because under such kind of circumstances, you may not be available all the time when it comes to managing and running your business and you may need to look for a trustworthy person.

That's exactly the point. Your current job will always take away your time that is needed to handle your personal business and a lot of planning is needed in order to ensure it works well as expected. What I do is to attempt setting things online so I can communicate with those that can help in getting deliveries done for my personal business because I run a poultry farm.

It is not about rushing but about running a pilot survey first. Doing what will show you whether the business plan is going to work the way that you plan it or not. This is something that I have always talked about when I advise new business persons to take a small sample of doing business to see what works and what doesn't.

When someone is rushing to do anything when it comes to planning on how to start a new business, the person is definitely going to be making series of mistake with doing things they are not supposed to do when they are supposed to do another thing. This will all contribute to what is going to make it very difficult for starting that business to become a success.

Honestly, it is wasting time. I know a lot of people spend massive amounts of hours and end up with failed projects. You can't buy back time and it is a sad reality for a lot of people trying to make a new business and investing years into it only for it to fail.
