Inforgraphics for link building?

Has any one tried creating an infographic for link building? I guess the trend is really starting to grow. There are lots of infographics out there, many of them are so good that, without even doing much work(well, creating the graphics is some work), they get a lot of exposure. there are even some pretty good video infographics out there.

Infographics are pretty awesome, and they can drive a lot of traffic to your site. The only problem for me is that I can't design an infographic myself and having one designed is way outside my budget xD.

Nope! I am not that good at creating graphics with unique style!

I know there are a few sites out there that let you build infographics off premade templates, which is pretty sweet, but at the same time I don't think it would be successful as one that was uniquely designed.
