A friend of mine told me yesterday after a misunderstanding with her boos at work, the man ended up slapping her right in front of other workers. According to her, she would have let it go if it happened in his office but giving her a public humiliation of getting slapped in from of her coworkers is too big to let go. She's planning on suing her boss for assault.

Would you do the same thing should your boss slap you?

This is called abuse no boss has any right to hurt their employees it's inlegal to hurt your employees in any physical way especially if it happens often

Seriously, it's so wrong. I had to give her all my support to sue her boss for abuse and claim a damage of at $30,000. If the man comes out of the case and settles with $10,000 or more, he will know never to slap any of his staff again.

It's very hard to sue boss you need proof etc witch is hard to get many bosses have good lawyer and more it's very hard since you are only a worker and he's the boss however if other workers exspierence the same treatment it's more easier

When there are so many witnesses when the boss slap her and I'm very sure there was CCTV camera installed at the workplace, she's got more than enough proof. I had to ask her to snap her face after the slap with the dent of her bosses hand across her face and make a report at the police station that same day.

Well I think it depends. it's an absolute abuse of human right or the abuse of employees which can be prosecuted in the court. Though sometimes it depends on what triggers the boss to slapped you.

in some cases it might be your fault and you have faced the consequences instead of terminating your appointment.

I don't believe that there is any justification for a boss to slap someone who is working for the person even if the person made a mistake at work.

I know very well that what should be the right thing to do is to sanction the person for what he or she has done and not physically abusing the person.

Obviously no one has any right to physically abuse any one but if my boss slapped me, I would definitely return with greater force.

In public or behind closed doors, it's assault no matter which way you put it. Everyone should report assault or abuse as it's witnessed. I don't like seeing bosses and employers getting away with any form of abuse, especially if it's hurting the employees.

This person will go to jail that's for sure. Just because you are paying someone to work for you does not give you moral and legal rights to exercise any kind of abuse, including physical abuse or verbal abuse. In our country, we have strong laws against physical assault in the workplace.

I will definitely have this temptation to slap him back but knowing that it is not going to benefit me financially I will try as much as possible to control myself and having suit for damages which is going to be a lot more better retribution for me.

Wow, I'm just wondering what on earth she could've said or done to make this hothead 👹 finally snap. I wouldn't go as far as suing him (it's just such a dramatic hassle.) But I would definitely report him so he would never do that again to another employee, and obviously quit the job ASAP. What a weirdo.
And why would she only allow it if they were alone? A guy isn't allowed to slap a girl unless it's some kind of play-slapping contest and all in good fun.
