If faced with an unexpected medical expense not covered by your insurance, how prepared do you feel to handle the financial aspect, and what steps would you take to manage the situation?

We always need to find a health insurance that is comprehensive and covers most of our medical needs and services. Unfortunately, it's not the case in real life. It's hard to find a good health insurance with affordable premium to cover most of the things. Something like cosmetic surgery is not covered by most health insurances in our country. Mostly people who are rich and can afford that would go for it for aesthetic purpose. It's not a medical emergency or need for them. But in some cases, it can be a medical need. These treatments are very costly and can be a bomb on the finance of a regular common person.
For any such medical emergency, one might need to pull out their emergency fund and in some cases even exhaust the savings fund. That's hurtful, but then life is not fair and square all the times.
