Many people may not think about this. However, the mentality of a customer may play a very big role when it comes to running a business. There are many customers who might be extravagant. On the other hand, there might be many customers who may be quite frugal as well. Some may be really stingy as well. This could play a huge role and impact the sales. So, is it really possible for a businessperson to realise this? How could you understand the mentality of a customer?

I think it comes down to what your business is and what you're selling. If it's a product sought after by a certain type of person, then you probably would market to that person. Right? So I think it comes down to finding out what your customers want and don't want, that's what the mentality is. You may not always be able to predict they will like something or not, but making products that people find appealing and useful, is really enough, at least for me.
 
Well, there are many smart salesmen who could understand the mentality of a customer just by looking at them. If a person is preferring high-quality products and looks for such kind of products in the market, then such kind of person will most likely buy expensive products.
