I'm planning to buy some domains and eventually resell them for higher price. However, I'm not really sure on how or where I can then attract buyers.

You can buy domains when their is promotion going on as often you can buy at cheaper price and than you can sell them on flippa or other webmaster forums to make decent money.

Interesting! I hope I can earn some extra cash from it. I'm still a newbie in flipping though so I need to learn more info about it.

I would just look into trendy keywords and buy domains with those in them. It is hard to find a domain that you can turn a big profit on today though since a majority of the big ones are already taken.

Here are some of the simple steps to sell your domain name:-
  1. Calculate the value of the domain name
  2. Price your domain name
  3. Make it clear that the domain name is for sale with a For-Sale landing page
  4. List your domain for sale on domain marketplaces
  5. Sell your domain at auction
  6. Find a buyer with outbound sales
  7. Hire a domain name broker
  8. Use an escrow service for the safe transfer of the funds and the domain name

As with other businesses, I would build a list of buyers. The reason is because selling isn't so easy, unless you got some domain that is obviously very valuable "on the spot". Such domains would be stuff like 3-letter .coms.

Anyway, if you got a list, then you can build a relationship with the potential buyers, making selling way easier.

There are many platforms you can use to flip your domains. I have personally used flippa and GoDaddy marketplace. You should first of all check with your domain name registrar and host if they provide a marketplace for reselling your domains.

Am seriously against this concept. Buy a domain only if you want to use it, or if you are planning to use it in the future. This kind of behavior would spoil the entire domain market and make the internet controlled by the domain name mafia. Internet is the place of free not for hoarders.
