If your budget’s been a bit more strained than usual in the last few months, you’re not alone. High inflation, lagging wage growth and the potential of a looming recession are some of the reasons why saving money might be getting more difficult.

Some expenses are almost impossible to eliminate. But that doesn’t mean you can’t reduce them. In particular, lowering your recurring expenses can be a big help because it will give you savings every month, not just one time.

But some changes in your lifestyle can help you a lot:

  • Turning lights off when you’re not using them.
  • Cutting the cord on cable and opting for cheaper streaming services. Streaming services often have shared or family plans that you can split between multiple people to lower the cost even more.
  • Withholding from impulse purchases. One way to help do this is by writing down wants and waiting a week before buying them, so you can see if you still want them.

Well, it is really hard to create a budget plan because inflation has struck the united States. This is the real reasons why they have increased the interest rates so much.

when you have a very tight budget, your goal should not be towards savings but some other things, as this would really be counter productive and it would not be very effective as well.

Having a tight budget to save towards is not easy especially when you are also not financially sound. But the trick to it is to get yourself a money box and put any amount you think you can afford within some few months. By the time you realize you might have gotten the money you need for the budget and an extra for something else.

Purchasing limited amount of products is a great way to save money. You can save money by analysing the total consumption of items that you use daily and buy things accordingly.

Reducing energy consumption is an advisable and great way to ensure that spendings are minimized greatly. Another thing I do is to have a budget and try to strictly follow it - might be hard sometimes but I must follow it.

I switch off any appliances not in use and that has made a tremendous difference in my bills. I do like food so I spend a lot here, but I look for cheaper subsititues for other things I use in the house.

Despite switching off many appliances, many people are still not being able to save money. This is due to the fact that cost of electricity is quite high due to inflation.

Electricity costs don't rise as fast as that of other commodities. If you happen to use a prepaid meter, it makes a lot of difference if you can control how you use your appliances. I have cut costs by more than 50% by just using what I need and leaving the others off.

The cost of electricity and fuel are already too high. This means that if a person tries to save electricity, then they would still not be able to save a huge amount of money. Almost all the people in here use appliances all the time.

Well if you want to save money on a tight budget, you most have to plan or start planning on how to generate the income, and how exactly it should be spended based on things that are necessary.

Some people are still discipline to saves even in the face of difficulties and things are becoming more expensive now as the price of all things has increased. We really have to work hard and add up to our monthly earning.
