Aside from using dummy accounts, can I really protect my identity online like in social media even if I use my real name? How do I keep my personal information secured?

Use a pen name or internet alias. Most people choose to use their first and middle names as their "full name" when you need to provide one. Outside of this, you want to just make sure you are not sharing too much about yourself on social platforms. Don't share where you live, work, or your favorite places to go eat. You don't want them to have this kind of information. Keep pictures to a minimum and never use their GPS location service for posts, photos or videos.

The best thing to do is to avoid using your personal email to sign up for anything. I usually log into my phone or my computer with completely different email address that i dont use for my personal or official communication. Also, avoid sharing photos or anything that will expose your location or/and your private IP address to the outside. This helps reduce the trace of your personal details online.

I think that this can be very hard because there are so many ways that your information can leak online that is why you should have separate email for different activities.
