One of my most hated tasks when making a forum is the graphics. Specifically the ads... I stick to simple, unless I hire someone to do if for me. If you're low on money, you know hiring a graphic designer is out of the question unless you know a friend who you can take advantage of. That's why I'm going to show you how to make a quick 728x90 banner.
What We're Making:
Requirments:
Step 1:
Go to https://web-capture.net/ and input your URL. Click Capture, and then wait for it to shoot you some download options. Download it however you want. This will download a full-size picture or your web page.
Step 2:
Open up Photoshop, and get an artboard of 728x90px.
Step 3:
Make 2 rectangles with whatever color you want. I'm going to choose #34495E. One small on the right side, and one longer one on the left side. Should look like this:
Step 4:
Then use the Direct Selection tool and make the rectangles angled. Select the tool, select the rectangle, and then click and drag the edges to make the angle. Should look like:
Step 5
Drag your logo in. You may have to resize it.
Step 6
Drag your screenshot in, resize, and rotate it. (CTRL + T, CMD + T)
Step 7
Put in some text, "Join" or whatever you want. For the purpose of the tutorial, I'm going to say Join Today!
Anddd... You're done!
Just export her and you're good!
