Members are a very important part of the forum. This is why it is very important for members to engage ion the forum. I always engage on different kinds of forums all the time. So, why is member engagement so important?

People use forums to learn and share. Some people also use forums to earn but the basic purpose of using a forum is for information and knowledge. By creating useful and interesting topics, you can also increase engagement. If your community lacks, new topics, it is very likely that there will be fewer engagements.

I think being active and responsive to keep conversations flowing. Introduce fun activities like polls or challenges to spice things up. Recognize and appreciate members for their contributions—it makes them feel valued. Keep the forum organized with clear categories, making it easy for members to navigate.

A community where we have tons of members but no engagement is worthless. Members need to engage their selves in other for them to teach and also learn from other people.

When member engage their, the a paved way for community development. Engagement, makes them give reviews, what they like and the things they expected from the forum.

On the other hands, the management should assists in providing services and engaging activities which will boost and enable its user progress even further. Could be things like badges, awards, contest, prizes services and so on and so forth.

Personally, I don't believe that just encouraging your members with words of the mouth to engage in posts will ever work. There must be something that needs to prompt them into engaging in the community. The kind of contents that's in your forum must be compelling for your members to be pushed into commenting. Also, running a contest is going get your members to engage more in the forum.

Posting good content, engaging with your users, and more. I would say providing a non-judgemental location for users to talk and hang out is nice too.

Also, have game nights, movie nights, and other fun events with your community and people will come.
