Freelancing continues to be one of the best ways to make money in 2023. According to a report published by Udemy, more than 80 percent people enrol on Udemy courses because they want to become a freelancer.

If you are already a freelancer, and if you are not getting high paying freelancing contracts, here are a couple of things you can do.

Learn New Skills

You surely can earn as a writer but if you actually want to earn more, you need to learn new skills. This will not only allow you to earn by working as a writer but also by working on another niche. I am using writing just as an example.

UpskillNetworking

You should build your network. The more people you have in your network, you will have better access to earning opportunities. You can join freelancer groups on facebook, you can build connections on LinkedIn, you continue to build your social media followings.

Networking I feel is one of the very important ones that you have listed with learning new skills and upskilling being the ones that should also be focused on as well.

I am a freelancer myself and I am always looking at ways to better my skills but networking is something I do need to work on. I am getting better at it and I am noticing a difference as I am working on it so I know in time, it will lead to more jobs and possibly higher-paid jobs.

build a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise and previous successes. Network on platforms like LinkedIn and attend industry events to connect with potential clients. Specialize in high-demand skills, such as web development or digital marketing. For example, offering expertise in SEO can attract businesses looking to improve their online presence. Use freelance platforms like Upwork or Fiverr, where top clients seek skilled professionals.
