This is definitely the right strategy, but I'm not very sure about tiktok, maybe it doesn't work in my country, just because I've seen many owners who wanted to promote their business and idea in tiktok, but they just didn't succeed because tiktok is just some big trash can cannot give you the audience you are looking for
