How to Create a Membership Site

I have been running blogs and forums for a long time but I have never created a website where I sold membership plans and generated revenue. I have been thinking about creating a membership site where only registered users who have bought the membership plan would be able to post. I am thinking of using XenForo for my site. I have used multiple open-source platforms but never used premium software, so I would like to have advice from experienced people about building a membership site with Xenforo.

That's can certainly be done. You could code it yourself to work your own way, or use a plugin or tool to do it for you. I like the idea of making your own, feels more exclusive in a way.
