General ledgers are the most commonly used records when it comes to recording financial information. This may include recording expenses and cash transactions made by the company. They are also used to record accounts receivable and cash received by the company. So, do you use such kind of ledgers in order to record cash transactions? How do you do that? What method do you use?

It's essentially a log book of all sales/purchases in one book. You could make a ledger out of a simple book of paper or you could get special made books witch you can log your sales/purchases in.

It's always good to have a history of your purchases and sales so that you're protected if the government questions your earnings.

I think that many software are usually available on the internet that may allow you to create a digital general ledger. You can record general entries and make a proper system that may help you to keep a financial record of expenditures quite quickly. Many shopkeepers use a traditional general ledger.

This is something that is very important in the financial department of any business because that is what is going to help to record anything that have to do with finances in such a way that nothing is going to be left out when it comes to documenting anything that have to do with money.
