A forum is a platform that may consist of many different kinds of sections. However, categorising the sections on the forum could be a hard thing to do. So, how to categorize sections on your forum and make your forum a better looking place?

I have six different categories on my coding board and it seems to be fairly well organized, in my opinion. I have the general coding category, the coding resources, the skinning resources, an extra perks category, and a category most forums have; a category for announcements and feedback and introductions, and a general discussion category.

A website owner can decide to categories his community how he see fit. The number of sections he wants would be what his categorization will look like. I use introduction in the beginning section of the forum but I've seen those who leave their introduction on the buttom area of their forum.
