Revamping of a forum is all about giving your one's forum or community a new look. Whenever you want to do this, do you usually go for a complete overhaul or partial revamp? How far do you normally go when it's necessary to revamp your community? Although for me, going for a complete overhaul might throw some users off balance, it's why I prefer partial forum revamp.

I have been running a forum for almost 2 years and I have mot made any changes on the forum since I started running it. I am using the same theme, the same color scheme and the same layout. My forums are about content, I do not give much emphasis on looks.

You actually have a very good point when you said that your forum is all about content which is what is more important because that is what gets you the traffic you need and probably help you to make money from your community. I would only say that the only good thing about having good looks is having members appreciate how good your community looks.

It's important for me to assess the potential impact of the revamp on my community. I will consider factors such as the size of my community, the level of activity, and the potential disruption the changes may cause. I will strive to balance my desire for improvements with the need to maintain a smooth user experience and minimize any negative impact on engagement. By carefully considering these factors, I can make informed decisions about the revamp and ensure a positive experience for my community members in the future.

It is also very important to put into consideration how any kind of revamping of your website is going to affect your membership because anything that is going to affect how members are going to be using your platform in a negative way is not worth it in my opinion.

I think every few years or longer is good. You don't really need to revamp a forum that often unless you are tired of the look or you feel it's time for a new look. That or if the navigation is becoming tedious for users. Sometimes a redesign and changes help a forum out.

I think a new look once in a while is nice though.

A full general revamping of a website is something that should be done in few years just like you recommended because it is not always nice to change everything all of a sudden in a short space of time.

It will be as if you don't have a better direction that you want your platform to be presented like.

How are the visitors to your website? They don't give feedback on what should be improved upon? I believe that is where the point is because as long as they are cool with the user interface of your website, there is no reason to improve anything.

I give emphasis to site speed and easy navigation. I think my visitors are happy with the site because, every day I see an increase in activities and activities. Looks do not matter as long as your visitor can find what they are looking for and your site loads pretty fast.

Looks is actually important but it's not the priority because when it comes to forums and blogs, your priority should be the contents that you have published on your platform. Once it is easy for your members to access your forum or blog easily without having challenges, with available high quality content that will be interesting for them them to engage in, it will always bring them back to your platform every now and then.
