How Often Do You Lower Your Rate?

If you have been a freelancer for a while, you must have already understood your asking rate and receiving rates are entirely different. You might be asking fo4 $50 per article but I am sure you will also be working for $5 per article. So, the question how often do you lower your rates?

Never. The only time i would consider lowering my rate is if I was desperate for work. As it is, I am usually booked out several months, so if someone doesn't like my rate, they can move along, lol.

Lowering my rate also depends on how desperate I am for money. If I am in dire straits, I will surely work for low rates.
