For me it depends. If I was starting a blog based on some entertainment niche or something similar, most likely I will not spend anything other than the cost of the domain name. I own a reseller hosting so, for hosting I don't have to pay anything extra. If it is somewhat serious and I am expecting revenue from it, I am likely to spend around 50usd. SEO services, Some articles, some link wheels etc, these are things I would go for with that money.

So what about you?

If I'm aiming to create a large forum I'll pump almost all of my wages into it.. I'm quite young so I don't need money for bills as my parents have it covered, so if I have a forum I will most likely spend everything I need to get it looking good and professional.

I will agree with Lowrider. If It will be profitable for me, I will definitely spend money on it.

Well I am looking to be a high roller and spend around $200 opening up a graphics forum. Like 150 for XenForo, got the domain and hosting covered already, then 50 or something more for a custom theme to be made. Maybe buy some advertising places.

I go big or I go home. ;)
