Not many people know that a registered business name i.e, sole proprietorship can be converted to a private or public limited company if the need arises. A friend got his done in two months so I want to know how long it took you as well.

I know there are a lot of forms and fees to pay. It really depends on where you live. I am in the US and this varies state to state.

For where I am, it can take anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 months. It depends on the process you take.

Converting the registered business name to a limited liability company is very easy provided that you have all the documents that is required of you to get. Then you approach the appropriate authorities to append an approval.

Well trying to convert registered business name to a limited company in my country is solely dependent on how ready you are financially to be able to execute the plan. And your effort also matters, that is effort you put into to be able to achieve that in a short period of time if not it will take very long.

Sure you must be cash ready. Sighting my friends example he has been ruining the business for over 8years.All this while there was no record of annual remittance which was part of the requirements.

For a company to be a limited liability company, you will need to have the necessary documents and the money that you want to use. Those are the two basic things that are you needed.

Actually in my country, no one can predict because anything can happen at anytime depending on what you have and who you have. If you dont have anyone to stand the chance for you, it may takes along process and time.

It may require a lots of money and documentation in order to do that. You may also need to find the right kind of investors for your company as well and need to go through many legal procedures.

I'm not so sure about how long this process would take in my country but registering a business takes roughly a month so I could predict this conversion could take up to 2 months at most given all variables are constant.

this actually depends for various countries as what works in one might not work for another but in my country the body vested with such responsibilities is the corporate affairs commission and you ca get more information by contacting there official website.

I do not know how this works in other parts of the country though. But from my own end, I have some individuals who have their own way of getting this done with little or no stress.

Well to convert a business into a limited company does not really depends on time or how much longer it takes but it depends on what you have, whom you know and what you can offer. morality is no longer considered.

It is not really dependent on whom you know or there about . It would be wholly dependent on the documents that you have at your disposal for the company to be migrated to a limited company.

I think that the conversion process also depends on how big your company is. There are so many private companies that have converted to public companies and it took them a few months.

The bottom line is that if you have all the documents needed ready, it shouldn't take you much time but if some documents are missing , it will take you a longer time than expected.

Actually that is exactly what usually do happens at my side, what you have, whom you know and what you can offer are the things that will make it easier for your business to become limited company.

To achieve your aim of registering a limited liability company, you need a lot of money and paperwork. Along with going through several exhausting legal processes, it would be necessary to find suitable investors for your business.
