How long did it take you to make money with your website/blog?

Around 4 years for me.
The first 2 years, I really wasn't taking monetization strategies seriously.
Then I started needing to upgrade servers. That comes with more cost.
Within 4 years, my biggest website started paying for itself and 8 years later, it pays for all my sites and gives me a large profit.

Within 4 years, my biggest website started paying for itself and 8 years later, it pays for all my sites and gives me a large profit.
Even though I was able to make money from my blog through donation from friends and family in the first month, it took me more than 2 years to earn first payment from ads on my site. It took me a few years extra to earn decently. These days my websites earn fairly well.
