How long are you able to maintain your investment positions?

Investment is personal, and each person usually has a different time threshold, some prefer the short term, others the medium and term and people like me the long term, the longest I have maintained an investment is 6 years, until today. Even if you are quite positive in said investment, what is your preferred time threshold in terms of investments?

Maximum investment position I have held so far is 1 year. I don't think I'm prepared to go more than that for now. Maybe when I am more stable financially I can look past my current time frame.

While I believe in long term and patience when it comes to investing, I don't think I would be able to hold an investment more than three years. That's the longest length of time I have held an investment and that was a crypto investment.

I am holding my stocks for more than 5 years but I have never been able to hold crypto for more than a year. Every time I see a little increase I sell them and when there is a price decrease I buy immediately.

I also don't hold my crypto for too long. Once I see an increase in price, I assume that the next thing is for it to dip, so I sell them. It doesn't matter if I could have sold at a higher price, a win is a win.
