How far or for how long are you willing to walk? Would you walk to the store if it’s 35 minutes away?
Yeah! Sure, I would walk to the store if it was 35 minutes away.

For example, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a little grocery store that's about 3 miles from my house. I've been walking there for years now and it takes me about 30 minutes each way. That's about one hour of walking per week—but I don't mind! It gives me time to think, decompress and get some fresh air. And if you're like me and live in a city where public transportation isn't reliable or affordable, walking is one of the only ways to get around.

In terms of distance, I think there are two factors that determine whether or not someone would be willing to walk: the distance they have to go and what else they could do with their time instead of walking. If it's just a short distance but they could stay home or hang out with friends instead of going somewhere else then they might choose not to walk (unless there's something at this place that they really want). But if it's far away then they'd likely prefer walking over driving or taking public transportation because these options are slow/expensive/boring respectively.

I don't know how long I always walk, but it is important to be on the safe side by always walking for a longer period of time daily. Walking can be a safe way to keep the mind and body in one piece.

The thing which I know to be very certain when it comes to walking is that if you are taking it as a way of exercising, it is something that will always be very beneficial to you. At least you don't have to be forcing yourself to go to the gym to exercise but you will be doing it whenever you are walking.

This is true. One can be intentional about walking and pick a distance that they can cover in the morning or at evenings. The goal is to ensure that you are feeling the results of always walking around on a daily basis.

Exactly! It is the main reason why I try as much as possible to schedule how and when I would be interested in walking as a means of exercising. This is because there are so many other things that I'm doing in a day which is going to make my legs to be tired. This makes it impossible for me to walk for a long distance.

Yes, it's why I target 6,000 steps or more every day. This is how I build up my cardio, it makes me not to become tired quickly in any physical activities which I'm engaged in.
 
I'm willing to walk 6,000 steps every day. There are days when I walk more than 6,000 steps. The maximum I've walked in a day was 12,000 steps. I might walk to the office if it's 35 minutes but it won't be everyday.

The kind of work you are into is what is going to make it possible for you to be walking this number of thousands of steps every day because those people who are mostly sitting down at the place would find it very difficult to walk 3000 steps in a day. It is a very good way for you to keep fit and be healthy.

Probably the distance which you are supposed to walk before getting to the local stores are not that very far because if it is far, you will always find it very difficult to do it all the time. Whenever I want to buy anything from our local store which is very far, I will always prefer to order it online.
 
I have to walk a lot at work, so after working hours I reduce this distance to a minimum in order to have energy for work the next day, but when I have a weekend I always walk around the city for a few hours
