My Opinion:

Facebook's recent crash and its downtime problem;
This technical glitch from a giant technology company suggests to us that even a crew that includes the finest programmers from all over the world and in very favorable working conditions can fall into errors, problems, and malfunctions.

Do not fail, and you are the weak and humble servant with simple capabilities in normal circumstances and sometimes worse when you encounter difficulties that may seem to you catastrophic.

The fall of Facebook has been one of the most shocking event this year that I never saw coming in fact at the time I thought that the world was coming to an end because I had never experienced Facebook Instagram and what's up all going down at the same time. The effect of this event on most businesses is huge and our even heard that it reduced the worth of Mark Zuckerberg by 7 billion dollars.

I think a lot of heads are going to roll because of the time out, unless it was unavoidable I see him reprimanding some engineers

Well as long as new technology comes up everyday and new creativing I don't think any thing would have a permanent stand, but there can be improvement in the old technology, though the fall of face book is shocking

There are people that basically lives on Facebook not for the chatting aspect but for monetary purposes. This would cause a detrimental effect to them

I wouldn't tate it a good deal because some people make their money thru Facebook and it crashing as made so many lose for people so it's not a good thing.

There would have been so many failed businesses because of the effect of the crashing of the Facebook platform itself. Most persons you see there are full time Facebook users for the purpose of their businesses

It was truly a great shock to see Facebook and all the other apps associated with it going down. I guess even the best webmasters and programmers can have errors. The glitch must have caused so much loss to many people using those apps.

The fall is a lesson to everyone and whenever there is a fall or lapses in business, we should be quick to rectify them, restrategize and stand up tall again, this is one of the lessons I learnt, the most painful aspect is that Facebook lost around 99.75million USD during the Monday downtime which lasted for six hours (according to wionews.com). Therefore, failure can occur to anyone no matter how big or small, the main thing is how you get back on your feet

Though it is a setback for Facebook but I do not see it as the end of Facebook, Facebook has been around for years so I really do not the recent crash is enough to put them out of business. These things do happen when it comes to business. Though he lost alot, this just goes to show that you can never please humans.

This world is temporary, and everything in it as well, the fall of Facebook doesn't mean Facebook is going to be wiped out, is just a little setback , but I believe everything is going to be resolved.

Since the crash came after facebook whistle-blower said something bad about facebook, I do not think the recent crash or facebook was only a technical glitch.

When facebook was down, a lot of people were speculating a lot of things. Even though facebook share price fell due to this, I believe it was purely a technical issue

I don't think anybody predicted or thought it will be the end of Facebook. It is just a measly cyber-attack, there is a saying that as long as it is online it is hackable. Facebook is no different.

Of cause, there would definitely be alot of loop holes that can be exploited by experts to gain sensitive informations was discovered. Do you think something like this would happen again in the future?

The Facebook's technical issue was a big surprise for me. I wouldn't imagine, that such a giant company like Facebook would cope with this type of issue. But I understand as to err is human. I think that they have learnt from it, and will not happen again.

The downtime Facebook experienced recently was a shocking one. We became so used to the platform and forgot that it is possible for just anything to experience a downtime. Zukerberg lost millions of dollars and am sure he is one who has learnt resilience.
This sort of downtime is faced in our businesses, the ability to bounce back and keep on is what matters most.

Well it is possible, but I think for anybody to hack meta now or in the future will require a lot of computing power and efforts, at the end of the day it just isn't worth it.

I think the biggest lesson we're to learn is the fact that no matter how big a level we've grown to, there's always room for more and we shouldn't rest on our oars thinking we've arrived.
Any small glitch or error on our part could lead to something fatal.

Well said. The incident was just a reminder that any technology or business can experienced glitches or downtime at any time despite it's sophistication.
