How do you plan your SEO strategies?

Well, as for me, I never plans SEO strategies. I tend to read a lot regarding SEO and other webmaster related stuffs. So whenever I find something interesting and efficient, I will try to do that.
So do you plan ahead?

Well I used to look my rankings on several websites like woorank, opensiteexplorer, marketing.grader.com etc for quick tips.
Do you use these sites?

It could be a good idea, but i'd not stick to it, also google is always updating anyway, so there is little point.
