There are two main ways to monetize your traffic, one, you display ads on your site and you either make money from ad impression (when people visit your site) or ad engagement (people visiting your site interacts with your ads). If you have a lot of visitors on your site, this method can earn you good money. The second method involves, you sell things on your site. When your website visitors buy products, you will make money. How do you monetize your traffic, by selling products or through running ads?

Actually, impressions are different than clicks. For instance, a lot or maybe all, not sure, AdSense ads pay for how many clicks they get and clicks on different niches get different amounts. For instance, I think insurance still gets a high click amount.

Yes, there is a difference between ad impression and ad clicks. Impression means the ads are being displayed, you earn x amount for 1000 impression. Clicks means a visitor clicks on ads and you earn based on CPC rate. Adsense also pays for impression.
