As Allan stated in his promotion post, some forums are very people oriented, and as such new members feel left out as they are not treated the same as other members, ect. How do you make people feel like they belong, if you do? Do you try to make them fit in a bit better, or leave them to do that themselves?

I do my best to try to get to know them and make sure I reply to ever one of there posts, so they feel there posts are as important to me as is to them.Sometime I will pm them asking how everything is and stuff like that. My goal is to make everyone feel that the forum is as much theirs as it mine.
